Unique aerophonic design

Inspired by the aerophonic properties of a trumpet's bell, RHA's signature earphone design transfers sound naturally, allowing air to progress unobstructed and unforced from the speaker into the ear. The result is richly detailed, well balanced sound reproduction across the audio spectrum.

Durability

RHA headphones are designed to offer outstanding longevity; the MA350 is machined from solid, aircraft grade aluminium. A fabric braided cable reduces tangling to prolong product life.

Noise isolating design

Soft silicone tips, in combination with the discreet housing, ensures a comfortable, non-fatiguing fit for optimum noise-isolation.

3 year warranty

The MA350 has been designed and engineered to deliver the highest standard of build and audio quality, which is why it is covered by a comprehensive three year manufacturer's warranty.

I ordered these headphones back in September based on a review on "The Register" website. I have since been very impressed with their sound quality, design and ease of wearing.

However, recently, I dropped the headphones and, in a fluke hit, the ear bud separated. I contact Reid & Heath Acoustics to see if I could get them repaired. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when they offered to replace them under warranty (saying the headphones should have withstood a simple drop onto tiles). The replacements arrived yesterday and I now have both an excellent set of headphones and a very good impression of the company.

I will definitely buy more from Reid & Heath Acoustics and recommend them as a cut above the pack.

Having just misplaced my second set of Shure SE210s, I wanted to find a well-made pair of noise-isolating headphones that wouldn't break the bank. Based on the reviews, I narrowed my choice to the RHA MA-350s and Soundmagic's E10s, eventually plumping for the RHAs based on their closed-driver design (I like to keep my music to myself), the braided non-tangle cable, the volume of positive user reviews - and the fact they're British!

The build quality is excellent and coupled with the design it certainly suggests a pair of headphones costing much more than the £30 asking price. Straight out of the box, the sound appeared to be very bass heavy, dominating the mid and treble. I'm not sure whether burning in really does make any difference or if it's purely psychological, but after listening to music through them for the last six hours, my impression is of a very involving, warm, rich sound. The bass is prominent, but handled brilliantly and it's not to the detriment of the overall experience: there's a lot of detail in all the music I've been listening to today. And, unlike with my Shures, six hour of listening hasn't left me with aching ears!

Overall, a great pair of earbuds that delivers build quality, aesthetics and sound comparable to much more expensive headphones. Go on, treat yourself: you won't be disappointed.

I bought these based on the overall consensus and general impression that the sound quality was brilliant for the price and they were built to last. And they could not fault, the sound quality was great! However there were multiple other issues with the headphones.

For one, the cable noise. There was an incessant rubbing noise that only was doused out when the volume was above 75%. The high volume level resulted in inner ear discomfort during long listening sessions.

The second major issue was that the aluminium construction made them heave and i found they kept falling out of my ears whilst on my regular morning jog. Furthermore the metal got surprisingly cold, which lead to a little discomfort until they had warmed up a little.

Finally, the worst of all, they broke. Twice. I used these a lot admittedly. But I treated them well (storing in provided case, Preventing unnecessary cable strain etc...) however I had to get two replacement pairs from RHA (who's customer service is second to none!) as they kept breaking despite the fact that they are "designed to offer outstanding longevity" and "machined from solid, aircraft grade aluminium". It just seemed like one earphone died for reasons I can not explain.

I am now using Sennheiser CX-300 ll and you can't fault them. The sound quality is far superior and the even though they go back to traditional rubber and plastic construction they have lasted me and are still functioning perfectly after nearly a year. Nearly four times longer than the RHA MA350. The Sennheiser CX-300 ll are a little more pricey, but I would highly recommend, they are worth every penny!

Got my pair of RHA headphones today, and have used them excessivly whilst doing work and out and about; my current ipod has a broad range of music on it to test them with to boot, everything from country through pop and instrumental drumming to metal.

First up, they are very comfortable out of the box and the three bud sizes are nice selections and the meterial feels soft and comfortable during continual use. The size and flexibility of the buds leads to almost complete nose isolation from the outside, and you get no sound leakage until you connect them to something that might damage your hearing.
The sound quality over all ranges of the music was clear and vibrant, especially compaired to my Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision Noise Isolating Ear-canal Phones - Black (to which these are the replacement)and the technicall specs put the dynamic range of the RHA's much wider in both directions than the CX 300's. The bass doesn't seem muddy compaired to other headphones i have tried, and the clarity of the treble on the headphones is a refreshing addition. It is comparable to using my Marshall guitar amp instead of one of the others. The RHA's also seem to posses a better sound scape, if you have a heavily multitracked piece of music you are still able to pick out all the seperate instruments without them blending together in the background.

The headphones certainly carry alot of volume, and i never need to turn the ipod up to the maximum.
On top of this they are subtle and attractive looking. The gold plated connector is there just to improve the jack connectivity and there is no static noise if the jack ever rolls in its slot.
