Book Description

“So Herod killed all those kids because he was trying to whack the baby Jesus?”

Not so long ago, eminent archaeologist, Professor Victor Tishus made a discovery that rocked the world of theology: a set of ancient scrolls, dating back to 31 AD that provided a first hand account of the life of Jesus Christ. In this definitely-true-no-doubt-about-it account, there was a lot more to Jesus than the conventional gospels would have us believe.

The Vic Tishus Scrolls exposed a truth that was too shocking to accept and the powers-that-be buried the story. Their discoverer was not just assassinated but his entire existence erased. Don't look him up, he's not there.

But now the truth can come to light. Writer and self-taught linguist A.W. Wilson, author of the comedy masterpiece, Accidental Hitman, got hold of the scrolls and painstakingly translated them into a language that could be understood by modern readers. To some, this book will change their outlook on the nature of life and faith, to others, it will just seem like A.W. Wilson has watched too many gangster movies.

If you only read one book this year then… what are you playing at? Read another one. Read Christ, Man!

This book wasn't meant to offend anybody but it seems that it has. It's not to everyone's taste so please read a sample before downloading - it might not be for you, thanks!

More About the Author

A.W. Wilson's debut novel - the comic thriller Accidental Hitman - has received widespread praise and he's just launched Christ, Man! Think Goodfellas meets the Gospels.

He has also published a collection of stories, Black no Sugar, so called because they are short but far from sweet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing but praise... 15 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a fan of A.W. Wilson's previous work (Accidental Hitman, the short stories collection Black, No Sugar - not to mention his musings on his website), and I was definitely not disappointed with this latest novel. This is a different direction from his previous work and allows Wilson again to display his versatility and craft with words and inventive, observational analogies. It's sure to push a few buttons, but whether people find it controversial or not, it's undeniably an inventive, thoroughly enjoyable and very funny take on the story of Jesus and his crew. If Aronofsky had teamed up with Scorsese then perhaps this is the story we'd have been seeing unfold on the big screen over the last month or so. I ABSOLUTELY recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is how I like to think it happened.... 28 Jun. 2014

Loved this book. I don't have much knowledge about the bible being an atheist but there were plenty of alternative takes on the 'miracles' that had me laughing out loud.
I have recommended this book to everyone. Enjoyed reading it and had to limit it to a couple of chapters a night to make it last. Fantastic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Harmless fun! 27 Jun. 2014

After reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical about reading this as a Christian but I actually thought it was really funny! The writer's obviously done some research on the bible and evne though it's satire it's still pretty sympathetic to Jesus. Give it a go!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and thought provoking 17 April 2014
By Mel
Format:Kindle Edition
I thoroughly enjoyed Christ, Man! by A W Wilson. It is a genuinely funny read that made me laugh out loud and it's also a very interesting spin on a well known story (if you happen to know your bible stories, but that's not a must to understand/enjoy the book!) It will definitely spark some debate and that's a good thing. I would recommend everyone read it, so read it, and tell your friends!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book from a very talented writer 17 Sept. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Loved it. I read a lot (A LOT) of books and never review them, mostly out of sheer laziness. This one is good enough to compel me to be bothered to post this review and I highly recommend you give it a try.

I love A.W. Wilson's writing style and am only disappointed that I've found him whilst he's only 2 novels in and there isn't a back catalogue that I can catch up on!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a hit, man! 9 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
An excellent read. Well crafted, with just the right mix of stories I knew about, had half forgotten, and quite a few I probably would have known if I'd paid attention at school.

Good to see that the wordplay and one liners of Accidental Hitman and other Wilson publications are on display again too.

Well paced, well judged and full of humour.

I loved Black, No Sugar and Accidental Hitman made me laugh so much it hurt, Now the author has excelled himself with this novel. My face and tummy are aching, I have laughed so much from start to finish.

Probably not the book for those who are very religiious, but for the rest of us, it's a hoot!
