Book Description

When immortal warlock Magnus Bane attends preliminary peace talks between the Shadowhunters and the Downworlders in Victorian London, he is charmed by two very different people: the vampire Camille Belcourt and the young Shadowhunter Edmund Herondale. Will winning hearts mean choosing sides? 5.0 out of 5 stars The Bane Chronicles 24 Jun. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this book, although I preferred the second Bane Chronicles more, I would still recommend this to fan's of Clare's work. I did enjoy learning a little bit about Will's father and some of the other characters from The Infernal Devices. Look forward to number 4!

Another cute story following the adventures of Magnus Bane. Explains quite a lot to do with the Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices too, overall a great book and my personal favourite of the chronicles so far:).

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnus bane short story 23 Jun. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I love the character of Magnus Bane. An immortal warlock who wanders through life seeking his next adventure with flair and humour.

Book 3 has Magnus in London where the accords are being debated. He meets and falls for Camilla and witnesses the stripping of Edmund Herondales marks and shadowhunter life for the love of a human woman. I loved that this was set just before 'the infernal devices' and that I was reading some of the hisory that was told in those stories.

A really great hort story series. if you love 'the mortal instruments' and the 'infernal devices' then you will love these. Can't wait for the next one.

    4.0 out of 5 stars A good read 16 Jan. 2014

Fast paced and in tune with the mortal instruments, where as the first two have a new take on Magnus' character. This edition compounds why Magnus is so beloved and intriguing. Ideal for a commuter.
