Very much I love progrock 70. But there are such groups, as Titanic which don't cease to surprise, the identity. Remarkable Norway group. Will decorate any collection, the fan of music in such genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Hard & Prog from Norway 4 Jun 2010
Format:Audio CD
"Repertoire" re-issue of the 3rd (and best) album of 1973 by established rockers from Oslo (Norway). They first emerged in 1969 as Janny Loseth (founder and composer*),, Kenny Aas, Kjell Asperud and John Lorck, quickly recruited British-born singer Roy Robinson - he contributed as lyricist as well, and had a very strong voice, similar to Steve Gould's of "Rare Bird" (As Your Mind Flies By ~ Remastered with Bonus Tracks). After a couple of promissing but unstable albums (sea wolfBallad of a Rock'n'Roll loser) and few singles in the charts, the band reached quite a high level of popularity in continental Europe. The band is (was) known as influenced by Santana - mainly because of the instrumental "Sultana" which made it into UK charts. Suddenly it came with this album, originally issued on "Columbia". Mainly it is an honest hard-rock with the tendency towards prog. The inspiration comes from Deep Purple and Rare Bird - just listen to Hammond organ and fuzz guitars and you won't regret it. "Repertoire" added 4 bonus tracks which show the versatility of "Titanic", but don't go too well with the rest of the album. If you are into hard and prog of the 70s, get it, it is a good one.
"Titanic" was sailing until 1977 before disbanding, and in 2009 issued more or less consistent album - Ashes & Diamonds [digipak]).
*Janny Loseth later (in the 80s)joined internationally acclaimed "Space", the best French synth-band - [[ASIN:B002M9FZ8Y The Best Of], just to get an idea), and was a frontman next to Didier Marouani (available on DVD "Didier Marouani & Space - Concerts in Moscow, 1983)
