- Use full extension on the antennas for VHF and 300mm extension for DAB, retract and use turned loop for UHF (TV) reception, for a compact solution to TV reception problems.
- Set gain to zero to begin with, and increase to required level after tuning. Increasing gain beyond the minimum required can introduce noise and artefacts to your picture so variable gain is crucial. Also crucial is high maximum gain should you find yourself in a difficult reception area.
- DAB transmissions are vertically polarised in the UK, so best reception will be usually be obtained with the arms extended upwards to about 300mm as transmissions are across the 219MHz to 229MHz frequencies.
- FM transmissions are horizontally polarised so best reception is likely to be obtained with the arms rotated downwards and extended to around the 680mm length as transmissions are received across the 88MHz to 108MHz frequencies.

So lightweight that the aerial can hardly stand on it's own four feet. MOve the flex and it tips over - and you will probably lose the picture. Also, the leads are far to short. If you were using the aerial with one of the old-fashioned large, heavy TVs it could sit on the top of the set but with the modern, flat TVs it needs to be placed elsewhere and siting it was a very frustrating time.
It does work, provided that you have it in exactly the right place (which is very difficult to find!)but the "amplified" signal is not really strong enough for digital TV.
