So far I'm over the moon with this little cute machine. When I originally purchased it, I wasn't sure it was worth it, since a sewing machine for 12 pounds was probably not a good idea. But when I received it, I was glad I had bought it.
This little genius came to me with threaded with white and including 4 extra bobbins and a replacement needle, as well as a threading tool. Everything looked made from tough material, good enough to do proper sewing. Yesterday I did the hem of my jeans, which I had been putting off for ages and the bottoms were already looking pathetic. I also sewed my dress, which was only hand sewed to see how it would look, but I couldn't be bothered to do more. I am more than pleased with what the machine can do.
Because of its weight, it does move when I'm sewing, if my material is heavy, but that's normal, and I also have a bit of trouble starting the stitch, cause I need to make sure I hold the thread tightly, cause otherwise it comes out of the needle. Plus, I was not expecting it to be this loud for such a small machine. But besides those really small flaws, I love it.
I am a dedicated sewer and often buy clothes because of what I can make them into and since I moved to a new country, I've been frustrated with having to sew everything by hand. But this little fella saved my life. I hope I don't discover much more flaws with it as we go along, but to be frank for a 12 pound machine that comes with so many accessories and doesn't take up any space that I don't have anyway, the fact that it actually works and the stitches hold is good for me.
I would recommend it to everyone who often needs a few repairments of clothing and doesn't have the space or the money to invest in anything bigger and more complicated (oh, yeah, the threading and bobbin replacement is practically a game, my friend has a proper machine and we can't thread it for ages).
