This very strong 5 Tier Boltless Racking Shelf is a must for every household! Whether you are looking to store books, clothes or tools, this is the ideal solution.
It has a load capacity of 150kg per shelf (evenly distributed) giving a total loading capacity of 750Kg. The frame is made from coated steel plates and is supplied complete with cut-to-size 9mm MDF.
Be aware other suppliers supply inferior Chipboard shelves which are less strong. The shelves can be adjusted to also fit oversize items. The shelf is ideal for sheds and garages and stands for the perfect way of storing and giving you the space you need.
Easy to assemble with only a rubber mallet required for assembly. No Nuts/Bolts required thanks to its unique keyhole locking system. Can be assembled into 5 tier structure or also workbench structure, instructions supplied. Comes in matte black.

Having bought four of these sets of racking, there is considerable variation in the quality of the supply. The racks themselves are easy enough to use, and are unquestionably strong enough to carry the weight capacities, clipping together with "keyholes" cut into the uprights and pre-fitted rivets that have been pinned through the crossmembers. Some of the rivet heads need tapping into position within the cross members in order to achieve a fit, and a rubber mallet is essential for banging all of the parts together, but the finished article is smart and sturdy.
The only criticism is that of the four sets that I've bought, three had been opened before, and one was delivered in a Radley Handbags box, with some parts missing. This is not what I consider "Brand New".
In summary, excellent product, expect to do some easy hammering to get it assembled, but check the contents of the box as soon as it arrives - if the box has been opened or parts are missing, don't be afraid to make noises to the supplier. It's the only way they will learn how to meet their customers expectations.

Great shelving, strong, sturdy,unlike myself. I did have a little trouble slotting some of the shelves in but managed in the end. Not bad for a 76 year old woman. Who says we cant D.I.Y.?

This is my first review on items i've purchased from Amazon unfortunately not a positive one.
I spent the weekend putting together a number of storage units for the garage including 3 of these shelving units.
I purchased a rubber mallet which I agree is essential for putting together these types of unit but I still found
the assembly of the units at times a fustrating and painfull excercise.
The issue I had with the assembly was the eyes that slot into the key hole in a lot of cases would not catch on the key
hole opening they are supposed to slot into. A number of times on all 3 units I put up (with the aid of the mallet)
I would get one in but the other would pop out. In some cases I have left the unit connected by 1 of the eyes rather
than the 2 how this will effect the structure when loaded I will have to see.
When the eyes and key holes lined up I made progress quickly with light taps from the Mallet but as stated this was not
always the case.
I also managed to gouge my hand leaning on one of the metal bars to get purchase whilst hammering in another part of
the shelf so be careful if assembling on your own edges can be sharp.
The units look ok now assembled and look sturdy but I wont be getting similar assembly units in future as the
quality is variable.

Ideal for tidying work tools

rubbish (industrial) shelving

Good racking, crappy work bench
I bought this to use as a work bench, it's not sturdy enough to use for this purpose however they do make for great shelves.
