I purchased this laptop just over a year ago and wished I hadn't. The battery life is appalling, it regularly shuts itself down and overheats within a very short space of time. On top of that it heavy, ugly and runs like a vey slow dog. I say - don't bother! I'm just about to buy another laptop (but not an emachines one) after just a year! Very dissappointing.
Hi At the moment i am running a d620 laptop Emachine and guess What it don't shut down and yes it overheat so do all the other laptops but the life of the battrey ok 2 hours tho what we need at my kind of work and no it not slow or any thing belive it or not i am writing this coment on it,
but i am in a company of fixing software problems and my laptop emachine d620 come with windows vista and that was slow vista was knowed for it but i had upgraded to windows 7 and it is fast

This must be by far the worse laptop available on the market,extremely slow,prone to freezing and this is with less than one third of it's capacity being utilised,battery usage totally inadequate and a lifetime to recharge,I would urge you to look elsewhere i.e. one of the better known brands.
