Really impressed with this knife block, was a bit apprehensive about the quality considering the prices of other universal knife blocks that I had seen were quite a bit more, but was pleasantly suprised. The block is a good weight so does not move when removing knives and the wood looks a better quality than what it does in the picture. I don't think it would take more than 4/5 average sized kitchen knives, I have 4 knives in it (including a small cleaver)and I couldn't fit another in comfortably. On the plus side this means that there are enough rods to hold just one knife in it securely. Overall very happy with my purchase and great value for money.

Sturdy and heavy, this knife block is perfect and will hold probably up to 6 or 7 knives depending on size.(We keep 4 in it with ease). The universal insert means that all knife sizes are accommodated, and it is easily removed for cleaning, though I shouldn't imagine that it will need it much.The nicely finished bamboo is lovely to handle and looks good. It is quite tall, so won't fit under cupboards on a work surface, but an open space at the end on one surface is the ideal home. No sign of a free cutting board though!!!

The block does not come with a FREE bamboo cutting board. The Bar codes are correct and match. There is no mention of the chopping board on the packet. Apart from that all else is right and will give years of good service.
