I hosted a party in a hall recently and because I don't usually DJ I didn't want to spend a large amount on a DJ software that I might not use again so I Bought DJ Mixstation reloaded.
I does it's job really well and makes it easy to mix tracks together. One function I do like is the auto-fade so when one track is playing and you start the next track on the other deck you can click auto fade and it fades the current track and you just need to drag the button across to the new track. This means that even if you are not good at beat matching you can make a transition that doesn't seem too rough.
All in all this helped me DJ successfully at the party.
The reason I only give this 3 stars is because I already bought the previous edition of Ejay DJ Mixstation 4 last year only to find that it would not install. I tried to install it on an XP laptop and two different Vista laptops and in the end could only get it to install on my Windows 7 PC which I am obviously not going to lug to the party.
So when this party rolled around the only cheap software that I liked is this new version even though I didn't really want to buy another Ejay software. But because it's so cheap I bought it anyway and it works fine, except that I spent hours trying to get it to work with my external soundcard, to no avail. So in the end I had to play all the songs by memory but could not use my headphones to cue up the next track as I could only use the internal soundcard on the laptop. The option for two soundcards is there but I could not get it to work.
I know it is not my soundcard because I have used it before with Virtual DJ and my headphones so I clicked in the help button on the software only to be directed to the Ejay home shopping page. No help exists!
I have tried searching online forums but there is nothing relating to this software.
All in all, this is a decent software for the price range and you may have better luck than me setting up an additional soundcard but if you buy this and need to access any help then forget it.

Not a clue how to use this - instructions may as well be in blank pages....it asks for your email address at the start and says you will be contacted once submitted and.......nothing.....and no idea how to contact the people who made it as I can't find a contact number.....very very poor......and looked such fun!!! I wouldn't bother, must be simpler ways to make music.....
