I ordered this camera as a birthday gift for myself. I did not want to spend a huge amount. I decided to order this camera as my prelude to the next phase of professional SLR cameras. I ordered this package as it came with the bag and batteries + charger. I consider this a great deal.
I have not regretted it. It takes good photos. My previous camera was a Sony 6mp.
The only down fall is that the lens cover keeps coming off.

Fantastic camera for the price. However I wish I had waited for the larger zoom models.
Overall a very easy to use camera with all the manual settings that any amature or professional needs with exceptional picture images. Some pictures I have taken recently have been a bit poor in resolution standards even with the highest capture settings, I assume this is down to mastering the iso and f stop settings within the camera which Im still a bit of a novice at. A bit of knowledge in this area vastly improves the final results of the images and therefor you need to do research before hand.
The Auto settings are quite good for the purpose, the optical zoom is superb, but as soon as you pass the 18x optical and go into the digital zoom area be warned !! It drastically reduces the pixel count and give a very poor image quality.
Overall Great camera for the price..It you can afford a little more go for the S4000.

Thought long and hard before purchasing a new camera but settled on this the Fuji S2950. Firstly the bundle is great value and secondly the camera is an amazing piece of kit. I am still finding things to play with on the menus but the proof is in the pictures and this camera takes brilliant pictures. The colours are spot on and the super macro function is superb. I take a lot of close up nature shots and this function gives unbelievable detail and clarity. haven't used the HD video function yet but if it is as impressive as the rest of the camera then I won't be dissapointed. Easy to use menu, well laid out controls. The manual control available should please the most demanding of users and is pretty much endless. The multi shot capability is great for moving objects. The zoom is excellent and very easy to operate.The electronic viewfinder is superb especially for those super close up shots, the lcd screen is clear and big enough to use without glasses. Light, easy to handle and easy to use. All in all a superb camera and I would recommend it to anyone.
