This DVD is a good one if you are looking for some nice yoga workouts that are made to be done primarily in the morning or evening. AM Routines include Get Up and Go which is a nice flow of upper back openers and Breath Work which is a gentle lying/seated practice which is one of my favorites to use. Another favorite is in the PM section which is the Short Rest.

Routines run from 10 Minutes to 45 Minutes with a wide selection to choose from depending on the time you have and what you would like to do (energize, work on breathing and others.)

Very lovely DVD with something for everyone.

I noticed this one gets mixed reviews so felt compelled to explain what you are getting here.
The DVD is divided into several AM and PM practices. There are short 15min energizers/relaxers and full 45 minute practices,so you can choose your practise depending on how much time you have. You can of course do one after another if you have the time and inclination and this works quite well as all the sequences are different and have a good 'flow' about them. The number of different 'classes' you get in one DVD makes this one extremely good value.

The teacher uses the standard yoga practice of starting slowly and building up, then using a relaxation (usually sivasana) at the end.
I particularly like the 'good night's sleep' practice which really does help me to unwind and relax before bed, so much so that I notice my sleep is of better quality on the evenings that I bother to do it...
and therein lies the ultimate bonus...I actually bother to use this DVD several times a week, which is pretty amazing considering I'm generally a lazy cow who thinks about exercise alot more than actually doing it! I think it has to do with the number of variations that I can choose from. I never get bored with this one, as I have with others.

This teacher has the extraordinary gift of being calm and relaxed at the same time as explaining the moves with such clarity that after a couple of views, I no longer needed to actually watch the screen and can just listen instead.

Overall this is great and I recommend it.

So, I'm not a yoga bunny and I'm not very flexible. I thought yoga is about stretching, so I decided to buy a DVD that has a few short routines that I can do in the morning or the evening (when else would I do it..).

Basically this DVD does exactly what it says on the tin. Yoga for beginners, to do in the evening and to do in the morning. Some are as short as 15 mins (e.g. Get up and Go) and some are really long (45 mins for Extended Morning). However, I have tended to do the evening ones as I built up a lot of tension in my body during the day. Even on first try I was inspired by how good I felt at the end and I'm glad to report I have done several of the routines in the month I've owned it. The routines can be so short I don't really have an excuse not to do them when I feel like moaning about how stiff and sore I am at the end of the day ;-)

The lady who teaches is nice and unoffensive. Plenty of beginner modifications are provided, but as you are encouraged to use blankets for every move (I use cushions in my living room), none of the moves have been impossible (though they still challenging!).

So definitely a good buy for me!

(I even found the Dalai Lama bit interesting!)

After a car accident in December my phyio advised stretching yoga for my back, neck and shoulders. I wanted something which would help me first thing in the morning and evening and something to help me sleep, this DVD does all of that and more. There are even 10 minute to 45 minute workouts so even if you are short of time there is something for everyone. I was particulary impressed that there are about 5 different work outs in the AM and PM range. I have already recommended this to the girls at work this is definately a good buy. xxxxx

I have been to two yoga classes so far in my life. Whilst I enjoyed the yoga I didn't enjoy the experience of being scantily clad in a cold draughty hall lying on the floor for extended periods. There ended my yoga practice. Over a decade later the idea of yoga hasn't left me, but sadly classes are prohibitively expensive so I looked to amazon for a dvd guide that I could use in the warmth and comfort of my own home. I purchased two and made the mistake of starting with the wrong one which I didn't realise was too advanced and then put myself off the matter for another year. The call came again and i had the feeling of now or never. Dust was blown of this dvd and I set about the 15 minute AM routine. Anyone can do anything for 15 minutes, right? My daughter joined in and we both enjoyed it. The routine was just the right length not to become torture and just enough for the beginner (that's me) to cope with. I felt a little bit pushed with the downward dog but she does talk you through the poses and how to take the "edge" off or make them more difficult. Both my 5 year old and I are incorporating the shorter am and pm routines into our day and I know I am feeling the benefit. I also don't feel the guilt of wimping out on a full hour and thus never getting any done. 15 minutes is better than a full hour completely avoided! I like the style of the video, the scenery is awesome! Although I do agree another reviewer that the background music is not so great. I think I would be quite happy to just have the sea sounds or an option to turn off the music perhaps? Why only 4 stars? I have knocked off a star on the basis that the dvd suddenly cuts/jumps from one track into the next and in one part completely misses out a part. She asks you to move to child pose and then suddenly as you are in the pose it cuts off to waves and the next pose. If not for that I would have awarded 5 stars. I will defintely be purchasing more from this "author" in future. Most enjoyable!
