The interface is a little clunky, especially if you're not running in 16:9, but the sound is great.

Just an awesome piece of kit, so easy to set up, step by step simple instructions on screen and now I just have one HDMI cable going to the tv because the games systems, cab/sat, blueray player etc all go through this and I just have to click one button for what I want active... The sound is superb, again the distance/test set up of speakers for optimum performance is so easy to do. ..Denon stuff rocks :)

The first one that was delivered stopped working properly after 2 days and was replaced promptly,
The replacements display went out after 3 months so it is very hard to use and Amazon will not replace it or refund,
This is most disappointing as I have had Denon in the past and been very satisfied with it.
I must add that when it works the sound quality is excellent .

I bought this last October as I just moved into a new house and had a great living room for a home cinema experience. It arrived promptly and had it unpacked and setup within the hour. The instructions were pretty straightforward! It worked great. It had great features I was hoping for (DLNA, Internet radio) plus it also meant I finally had a proper home cinema (just needed a new TV, but that's another story).
Last week, I turned it on and found the front display wasn't showing. The green light was on showing it was turned on but no display! Strange! Everything else seemed to work and my family and I watched a film in surround-sound! Everything seemed normal except the display was blank!
The next day I looked at it more closely and made sure the cables were ok. I looked at the manual (a PDF on my PC). It recommended that I stored it back to factory settings, which I did. It was simple to do, but the display still failed to work.
The next evening I turned it on to watch something on iPlayer and it said there was a firmware update, so I performed the update. After a minute it went to standby, which I thought was the standard part of the process of upgrading the firmware. As the display wasn't working I couldn't tell how it was progressing, so I just left it for half an hour. I came back and turned the TV on and got nothing, a completely blank screen. I turned the AVR on - still nothing!
It's still in the same state now - a blank screen. When I turn it on it makes the tick noises which it normally makes when I turn it on or off, but this time it makes the noises after a few minutes while it is on.
It is basically a bricked device - the firmware didn't work and I cannot get anything from it. As I bought it more than six months ago and Amazon won't have anything to do with it.

Great Item with Great sound and network possibilities

Two factors let it down for me:

- May be I was unlucky, but receiver starts freezing and not showing video approx after 30 Min of work.

- Second is - not great service from Peter Tyson, they charged for refund of faulty items and said they are working! It took 1 month, 30 emails to return money and Amazon money claim. Wow, like returning to the last century after Amazon high class service.
