UPDATED:

Recently wore the boot for two very cold days in NH doing ice climbing and eventually climbing mt Washington in -20f conditions. these boots are tops. Very warm and very comfortable. Excellent stiffness with crampons and ice climbing too. Style is great also. Very old school.

wow. this is the best mountaineering boot I have every tried (only other I had used was Scarpa Mont Blanc).

This is a superior boot!
1- construction and design is excellent. There are neoprene sections so there is no rubbing / hotspots
2- boot is well insulated and waterproof - and after a day long snowshoe feet were dry and warm
3- I have a wide foot and got the EE. The fit was superb -- right out of the box I wore for an all day event -- trouble free
4- great LOOK too -- very cool
5- Bonus -- with an allen key (comes with) you can stiffen the boots soles for pure climbing vs approaches (hiking).

Climbe Pico de Orizaba - 18,500 (5700m) 21 Feb. 2014

Insulated fit - These performed excellent. Even at the summit, didn't get cold once. The 3m system is great for dialing in the perfect fit. I used thin socks on the acclimation hike to 16,300 ft, and thick mountaineering socks on summit day. I wear 10.5 U.S. but ordered these in 11. Fit perfectly.
Great winter alpine boot 29 Mar. 2015

Purchased boots to wear in mountain/winter rescue training and work in challenging terrain. Have only been able to wear once during training event that lasted about 8 hours. Deep snow, slush, and ice working great with BD crampons. Comfortable and warm boots even with minimal break in time. Lace system provides excellent adjustability as needed.
