Biography

As anyone who’s seen her on tour or watched a music awards show in recent years knows, P!nk has a bit of a second career, moonlighting as an aerialist and trapeze artist. But in a sense, that kind of describes her primary vocation, too. Over the course of five groundbreaking albums, she’s lived dangerously, achieving a high level of self-revelation unmatched by anyone else ... Read more in Amazon's P!nk Store

Product Description

Product Description

Iconic performer and vocal powerhouse P!nk's Greatest Hits… So Far!!! is a collection of her hit songs along with two new tracks, including the lead single “Raise Your Glass” produced by long-time collaborator Max Martin and co-written by P!nk.
Since her debut in 2000, P!nk (Alecia Moore) has successfully paved her way on her own terms as a talented singer/songwriter/performer. She raised the bar with her astonishing acrobatic Grammy 2010 performance of her sleeper hit “Glitter In The Air” and over the past two years, P!nk has extensively performed sold-out performances throughout the UK, rest of Europe, Australia and the U.S, winning over critics and fans. Her previous album catalogue includes Can’t Take Me Home (2000), M!ssundaztood (2001), Try This (2003), I’m Not Dead (2006) and Funhouse (2008).

BBC Review

A decade (plus) and 25 hits into her wayward career, it feels like Alecia ‘P!nk’ Moore has been forever popping up to spray-paint the charts with her brash skater pop. Perhaps it’s this familiarity – along with her increasingly trashy sound and cartoonish videos – which has made it easy to forget what a daring and unusual pop star she truly is. Emerging as Britney Spears was simpering that she was born to make men happy, P!nk’s agenda was spikily, defiantly different.

Even in her early career, when pushed down an uncomfortable RnB route (a misadventure recalled in her later Don’t Let Me Get Me), P!nk’s bolshy rebelliousness and refusal to play sexy were obvious. Sonically, There You Go may be little more than a sleek, skilled pastiche of TLC, but her raw voice and confrontational attitude ("that love s*** just aint for me") were all her own.

It took 2001’s Missundaztood for P!nk to discover her own sound, a fusion of hip hop beats, punky guitars and monster choruses. The belching, brassy Get the Party Started hasn’t dated well, but the other singles remain startling. On the propulsive, bruising Just Like a Pill she alchemised emotional self-destructiveness into a global smash hit, while the downbeat Family Portrait is as wrenching and articulate an account of domestic dysfunction as you’ll find in pop. Towering over all is the savage honesty of Don’t Let Me Get Me, a searing expose of the pressures young women face which still makes most male angst-merchants sound self-absorbed and childlike.

Perhaps such brutal confessionals drained P!nk, as she’s rarely matched their emotional heights since. What Greatest Hits… So Far!!!, proves, however – the hideousness of exclamation marks aside – is her consistent knack for delivering stompingly good, whiplash smart pop songs. Stupid Girls is an addictive and hilarious attack on paparazzi culture and the women who prostrate themselves to it ("What happened to the dream of a girl President? / She’s dancing in a video next to 50 Cent"), while on U + Ur Hand and So What she and Max Martin created two thrilling, all-conquering bubblegum punk songs.

There are lesser moments, too, including the clumsy new drinking anthem Raise Your Glass. But even if she hasn’t quite fulfilled the huge potential Missundaztood suggested, this greatest hits is a punchy reminder of why the pop landscape has been a much more interesting place with P!nk in it.

This greatest hits cd shows just how many hits P!nk has already had in just ten years.
The deluxe version is the better value choice as it has the dvd and the much better booklet style case,
the three new songs are amazing and could have easily been taken from the Funhouse album.
There are a few songs missing such as I don't believe you & god is a dj, but other than that, you won't
go wrong getting this as a present or for yourself!

Well it's finally here, after 5 great albums Miss More releases her first greatest hits album.

Packed with some of her best songs, 'Get the party started', 'Like a pill','So what','Sober' ect.

Allthough some notable missing tracks, such as 'Most girls', 'Leave me alone (I'm lonely)','Nobody knows' and 'Glitter in the air'. I would of given it 5 stars had these songs been included.

But I am happy with the overall package and the new song 'Raise your glass' is a fun catchy new addition to the hits.

I hope P!nk delights us for many more years to come, a great album so go out and buy it.

This is my favourite pink album and contains some of pinks best work. Most of the songs are pop/rock with a catchy beat but all have a theme, such as 'Stupid Girls' which talks about how society today expects girls to focus on looks and boyfriends, instead of careers.

'Dear Mr President' is a slower song but is one of the best on this album. It is a beautiful song with great meaning which goes to show Pink isnt a one trick pony just singing the pop/rock variety.

I have noticed the absence of a few of my favourite pink songs such as 'Feel Good Time' and 'Funhouse' which is a shame but the songs included in this album are still fantastic.

Overall, i would recommend everyone to buy this album as it shows off some of pinks best work, although i am sure we can expect a great deal of more hits from pink.

Brilliant but where are 'God is a DJ', 'Most Girls', 'Feel Good Time', 'Last To Know', 'Nobody Knows', 'I Don't Believe You' and Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)'? Anyone know why they weren't included?

Pink CD - "Pinks Greatest hits"
Very catchy hits - a great collection, but must admit attracts most impressionable teenage girls and those
under the teens, and even as a mum myself I like this CD, BUT ........ sadly the lyrics are very explicit for
young girls - as usually the case nowdays (even I cringe!). Pinks videos also show how bad she can behave
too, although we have to laugh at how bad she can be, and yes, I can see the humour).

Shame no-one seems capable of not using bad lyrics nowdays - it must be possible surely!
