Product Description

The only potty your toddler will ever need

My Carry Potty was invented and designed by a mum for mums, to help with the challenges of potty training.

It makes sense to tackle potty training as soon as you think your child is ready to start, but many parents tend to put it off because it can be inconvenient, especially when you're always on the move.

My Carry Potty is the smarter route to potty training - It is made from high quality, durable plastic that's easy on the eye and easy to keep clean. Best of all, kids love the bright primary colours and the carry handle makes it easy for them to adopt as their personal possession.

My Carry Potty is ideal for taking out with you in the car, buggy or visiting in those early days of potty training when they need to go "NOW"! It is so quick to just open up and sit them down on - no fussing with assembling legs or liners. The water-tight seal is convenient for any situations where you are unable to dispose of the contents near to the scene. I would recommend carrying wet wipes with you (then who doesn't!) to clean it with on the go. The only negative comment I will make is that the potty could be made a little bit bigger (as sometimes my little boy would struggle to contain everything and wee escaped out of the front a few times). However, I suppose it would then be more of a size/weight to carry about and all travel potties seem to come up small. I tried the Pottette Plus prior to purchasing this, but didn't get on with it at all (liners expensive and fiddly, legs collapsed once when sat on even though it appeared to have clicked into place, very small - kept weeing out of front and slipped around on toilet seat when in 'toliet seat' mode making my son very nervous of using the toilet).

I was persuaded to buy this when my little girl was very small, because the person selling it at the time was doing an introductory offer. I have to say, I was a bit gobsmacked as potty training was months if not years away at that point, but she promised me I wouldn't regret my purchase. So, I got it. Oh the power of hindsight (hers, not mine!!).

Having read the reviews, it would seem I am fortunate in that I have a little girl, and she is quite small for her 3 years, but her other slightly bigger friends, both boys and girls have used it with no problem. It is the envy of all my friends (clearly, only the ones with small children, not all of them!!), and my childminder also asks if I can leave it with her on the days I work so she can make use of it too.

When you have a child, there is so much you buy that you scratch your head and wonder, "What on earth was I thinking?" For me, this is one of the best baby products I bought and goes everywhere with us - long journeys to see the grandparents, whole days in the park, out shopping: in all situations it is absolutely invaluable.

I can see why it might be on the small side, but any bigger and it genuinely wouldn't be portable. The only adaptaion I would make would be to make the handle more buggy friendly; my little girl loves to carry it, so I'd keep the smaller handle so children could still have the option of carrying it, but to add a strap so it didn't have to be stowed in the basket; the strap could hook around the handles of the buggy and that those straps could be removed, maybe through clips if necessary, i.e when cleaning it. That way, it could be carried where the changing bag used to on the buggy.

Big thumbs up. My son is four and only just potty trained, and scared of public toilets. This potty has got us out of several sticky situations. The potty is definitely technically too small for him, and even my 2.5 year old looks a little bit large on it, but both of them manage to get their wees into it (4 year old crouches over it and has a good aim), although no poos done in it so far. I should say our other potty is a chair-potty so I'm used to looking at bigger-style potties - I'm always surprised at how small 'regular' potties are. I only knocked a star off for the size.

It's really easy to empty and clean/wipe down, and totally leakproof, and I love the eco-friendliness. We've had it for 4 months and it has been indispensible. It goes on all trips out. We even used it in a quiet aisle in B&Q.

Rough potty-bowl dimensions; Inner bowl (the 'hole'): 14cm diameter x 10cm deep. Outer bowl (the bit they sit on) 20cm diameter, with about 1cm more to the outer edge of the potty.

Bought this product so i didn't get caught out when taking my daughter to town or to the park. Nice and compact, and fits lovely on the back of the pram or under a car seat. I prefer the older model but i couldn't get hold of it because its discontinued. Only one problem with it, don't leave wee in it for days (forgot it was under my car seat) because it takes ages to get rid of the smell.

Love the IDEA of the seat and it COULD be great for road trips, etc. It seals very well and adequately contains small wees. Unfortunately, my children find it difficult to fit both "private" areas on the seat at the same time, and the splash guard for boys is frankly inadequate. And let's hope they haven't had a lot to drink, as the receptacle is not largest enough to contain anything more than a small wee. Be mindful (!) of that when you try to close it, because not only might it spill over when they are filling it, but it's even smaller closed. I can't quite understand why they haven't made the bottom (seat) part bigger and the top (lid) part smaller. Also the seal comes well into the receptacle, meaning it's a bit like trying to squeeze too much soup or stew into a plastic storage container hoping it won't pop over the sides when you carefully place the lid on - it always does!
