Toshiba Tru Brite Crystal Clear Display
The 15.6-inch widescreen offers a TruBrite Crystal Clear Display for clearer brighter images. The display is ideal for viewing the latest movies with its 16:9 true widescreen ratio. Improve the contrast and clarity of everything you view, allowing you to watch your movies in their intended format.

Toshiba L500 eco mode chart

Eco Mode Utility
Save laptop power with the Eco Mode utility. Access the Eco Mode via an icon on the Windows taskbar. Simply activate and save power consumption on your laptop. A power consumption chart can be viewed on your screen to show the increase and decrease of power consumption when the Eco Mode is active.

HDMI Port
The L500 has an integrated HDMI port for added convenience and enhanced usability. Now you can connect your laptop to an external device and stream High Definition content.     i got this laptop on behalf of my parents who wanted a reliable computer having had a couple crummy computers in the past. i did some research and looked at a 2010 survey based on 30,000 laptops which suggested Toshiba make the most reliable computers out there. so with a budget and after reading a few reviews we ended up with this one.

    its well built and feels pretty sturdy althouh the plastic dsoesn't look fancy like some but at least it will be free of scratches like you get on glossy finishes. it does come bundled with some free software that bogs it down a bit to begin with BUT you always get free software with laptops, so dont let that influence your decision. i just uninstalled all of it and it runs very quickly now. the screen is bright with decent colour and the keyboard has a numpad built in on the right hand side which some may like/dislike but its never going to ruin your experience.

    for a cheap laptop it does pretty much everything you could expect and the webcam quality is top notch. battery life is very good and it is lightweight for a laptop of this size.

    all in all, a great buy. safe nowing that it is much less likely to breakdown than your crummy Dell or HP computers.

    yet to find anything wrong with it. 5 stars!

    the product arrived very very quickly and safely . it is an easy to use laptop ,i was online within 5 min after starting setup (which was idiot proof to do )it is a very quick laptop and the keys are very good to use .
    the onlyu complaint i would have is that the battery life lasts only about 2 hrs when used constantly i feel like i am forever charging up my laptop but apart from that i have found no other faults i really do like this laptop very much

    This is a fantastic laptop.There was a problem with the screen but Amazon replaced it immediately.The battery life is approx 9 hours with plenty of use,great value for money.
