The 15.6-inch widescreen offers a TruBrite Crystal Clear Display for clearer brighter images. The display is ideal for viewing the latest movies with its 16:9 true widescreen ratio. Improve the contrast and clarity of everything you view, allowing you to watch your movies in their intended format.

Toshiba L500 eco mode chart

Eco Mode Utility
Save laptop power with the Eco Mode utility. Access the Eco Mode via an icon on the Windows taskbar. Simply activate and save power consumption on your laptop. A power consumption chart can be viewed on your screen to show the increase and decrease of power consumption when the Eco Mode is active.

HDMI Port
The L500 has an integrated HDMI port for added convenience and enhanced usability. Now you can connect your laptop to an external device and stream High Definition content.     I bought this laptop for my daughter to use and we are generally pleased with it as a good value laptop. The screen is very clear, and the memory is enough for simple use, although I understand that we may need to put in more ram in the future.
    However, the one silly annoyance is that it does not have a built in microphone. She wants to use it for skype calls, and I assumed that all laptops have built in microphones because this is now so common. But no, Toshiba have saved about 20pence and not installed one in this basic specification.

    My parents bought me this laptop for my birthday and so far I have not had any problems whatsoever. The delivery was quick and easy and I received it within the next day and I know both my parents were pleased with this turnaround time. The laptop is fast, easy to use and does not need charging for a long period of time with the battery lasting up to 4 hours when fully charged. The applications are all excellent especially sound and its ability to connect to wi-fi. I have had this laptop for about a month now and highly recommend it to anyone of interest. Enjoy your new laptop!

    This is a nice machine but the first thing I had to do was max out the memory. It comes with 2gb which for some people may be perfectly adequate but I found that by adding 2gb I got something near a speed that I can work with. If you bought this machine for games or anything needing fast transaction times you might be disappointed.

    Apart from all that it looks good, has a nice layout, great display, reasonable capacity hard drive and not too noisey. All in all I'm happy with my purchase.
