I bought this Toshiba photo frame for my parents so we could share family photos. I wanted a WiFi photo frame so they could put it anywhere in the house and it would automatically pull in photos.

The software in this device is awful. The frame can connect to Picassa but only seems to connect to public folders. Because these are family photos I really don't want to make my Picassa albums public just so this frame can see them.

I enabled a mode to allow the frame to turn off if it is dark. This mode stopped the frame from displaying anything at all, it remained black once it booted up. Not even a factory reset would make it work again.

I'd avoid these frames until Toshiba have significantly improved the software.
