5.0 out of 5 stars Great British comedy, 19 Oct 2009
By Mr. M. J. Burgess "Martin Burgess" (Plymouth, Devon, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
By now the series was nearing its end and Croft & Perry were already working on Hi-de-Hi!, so the end was nigh for the concert party. However, there was still plenty more fun to be had, including Capt Ashwood nearly losing his heart to a lustful June Whitfield. As usual, the performances are superb (particularly from Michael Knowles) and the writing is peerless. British comedy at its best.

It is a good series but it's clear that the show is reaching it's end. It just wasn't the same without Michael Bates.
