The Vax Rapide range of upright carpet washers was chosen for our special edition collection because they offer fantastic deep carpet cleaning performance and unbeatable value for money.

Rapide carpet washers have been designed by Vax to be as easy to use as a regular dry vacuum cleaner and provide an affordable way to wash carpets and suck up spills.

The Rapide Spring Clean is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The multirow brushbar works with the cleaning solution to gently loosen and lift the embedded dirt from carpet pile that dry vacuuming alone cannot reach. It is very easy to fill, empty, use and store, and comes with Vax AAA carpet cleaning solution which is formulated to keep your carpets cleaner for longer. All Vax solutions are Woolsafe approved so are safe to use on all carpet types, even pure wool.

    I have used the Rapide Spring Clean a few times now and have always found it to be very good quality, the solution you can buy from most places even argos stock it at a very good price. If used correctly it doesnt leave the carpet wet at all, it's just a case of reading the instructions and following the guide and i've never had to worry about it being wet.

    The only thing is my son hates the machine as it does make a loud noise however really not much noiser than any of the others i have tried previously.

    The machine came in it's original box which had been packed by Amazon together with a box of 6 cleaning fluid containers. The box of fluid containers had been packed upside down and one of them leaked which weakened the outer box and a soggy hole resulted. This is an Amazon fault, the actul machine works very well. I had an e-mail from Amazon asking for feedback on their packaging. I filled it in mentioning the poor way it was packaged and they have chosen to ignore it.
