3.0 out of 5 stars Hmm 5 July 2007
By Sian Louise VINE VOICE
Format:Mass Market Paperback
3rd book in the series - and I have to say I didn't like it all that much.
It was good for what it was, but I didn't love this book, and I would never pick it up to read again.
I thought the character were a bit "blah" tbh and I don't understand why u would feel embarrassed if ur mates found out ur girlfriend was a "witch" it doesn't make much sense, I found myself irritated by the characters in this story. But even though I found them lacking, I was still rooting for them to get it together in the end.
If u like nice and simple and have read the other 2 in the series so far, then read it, but if u are looking for a stand alone book to fill in the time, I can recommend much better books.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Brill Finish to a Series 14 May 2012
By Suzanne
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I will say that 'Total Rush' isn't as good as 'Body Check' and 'Fair Play' but that doesn't mean this book isn't enjoyable. It's a brilliant light hearted read.

'Total Rush' tells the story of Gemma Dante and Sean Kinnealy. Sean is a firefighter who lives above Gemma. She is a very spiritual person who lights a lot of incense and candles in her apartment and Sean is sick and tired of the smell so he pulls a stunt in order to trick Gemma and prove what she is doing isn't safe.

Sean and Gemma start to go grow close but Sean can't hide is embarrassement and uncomfortability of what Gemma does for a living. He even goes out of his way to hide it from his friends and family.

'Total Rush' is definately worth a read and one i will be recommending to all my friends.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Romance 7 April 2008
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is probably the weakest of Deirdre Martin's books, but nevertheless I still enjoyed it. The author's talent lies in making you care about the characters she writes about, you're able to relate to them, and the story is cleverly weaved around family dynamics. If you've enjoyed DM's first two books, make sure you read this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Total Rush 17 May 2006
By K-G
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I have read other works by Deidre Martin and liked them (Penalty Box & Fair Play) but I felt this story was a bit lacking.

The differences between the two characters seemed too great to overcome and I was left agreeing with their initial views on each other. I cant help but think depsite the happy ending that this is not a couple that would last the distance.

Very average story, when I know the author can do (and has) better.
