Pyroflam is made from Vitro-Ceramic, a unique material so heat resistant and durable that it was used by NASA in the design of the Space Shuttle. Thanks to its unique Vitro-Ceramic properties Pyroflam makes cooking much easier as one dish can be used to prepare, cook and serve and store your favourite meals. Key Features Versatile Pyroflam can be used on or in any appliance (except induction), which means it can be used on the gas, electric and halogen hobs, in traditional and microwave ovens and under the grill. Fluctuation other ceramic items cannot undergo extreme hot to cold changes (or cold to hot) without warping or cracking. Vitro-Ceramic can undergo fluctuations within the range of a 450C difference without breaking. So a frozen meal can be put straight into a preheated oven without risk. Glass Lid these are made from Borosilicate glass, they can undergo temperature changes of 220 C, are not recommended for direct freezer to oven use, and must be allowed to cool before washing. Chemical Resistance ensures that the surface of the roaster is odour free, stain free and looks like new after years of use. Mechanical Resistance means the roaster does not chip, warp or scratch easily, retaining its shape and performance even after years of use. One Piece moulding means there are no fixtures, joins or non stick coating that can wear over time. Guarantee 25 years.

You can take this pot straight from the hob to the oven and then to the table. Also can be put in freezer. It is fantastic. Makes life so much easier when doing things that reuire cooking prior to baking. Would recommend this to anyone

Good capacity with the 3L version,strong sturdy design with a glass lid so you can see how your dish is getting on without losing heat. Works well on both the hob and in the oven,my mum made a stew and a casserole this week,both were lovely i'm told :-)

Quick delivery too.

Disadvantage of Pyroflam is that the heavy pan is slow to bring water to the boil.

Brilliant Advantage of Pyroflam is add pasta to boiling water, put lid on the pan and turn the heat off.

The pyroflam retains the heat and the pasta cooks perfectly with no more gas or electricity. Works for rice and green vegetables too.

The close fitting heavy lid stops steam evaporation which saves burnt sacucepans and boiled dry vegetables.
