The dimensions of only 80mm x 50mm x 12.5mm and the weight of only 50 g make it an optimum travel companion. Because of the eSATA-connection possibilities, transfer rates of 90 MB/s (read) and 50 MB/s (write) are achieved. This is an enormous enhancement as compared to the conventional hard disks. The new design without the mechanical components makes for an enormous progress in the field of failure rate and noise development.
The SSD´ s are tough: even shocks, vibrations and external temperatures do not represent any danger.
