Here's a well-designed pair of socks from Warmthru. The design is patented. It's a bit like a simple kit - all the bits are easily put together. They are all replaceable, incuding the heat elements which slide neatly and easily into the unique pocket under the toes. The socks are machine washable because, unlike rival designs, the heat element is not part of the fabric. Most of all, this heat element produces a lot of heat from metal bands embedded in plastic, about the thickness of a playing card and cut to size. Temperature is around 35-45C.
