I had the VP2130b and the 19" version before that and both were extremely good for working with photography and images - colours true, contrast/brightness good and viewing angles great. Sadly, after 16 months of a rare intermittent problem, the 2130 began to be difficult to start each day and went back under warranty - it was then replaced with a new VP2250wb as they no longer make the 2130.
The VP2250wb is not nearly as good as the older models - from what I can tell of the differences, it has a TN panel and only 170x170 viewing angle. (The older versions are s-PVA panels and 178x178 viewing angle.)
I had some backlight bleed around the edges, overly vivid mid tone red/blue/green, and stronger colour at the top, fading down to weak with slightly fuzzy text at the bottom no matter what angle it was viewed at -in fact moving just an inch from viewing the screen in the centre shifted the appearance considerably.
There was slight colour tinge at the left and right sides, and altogether it was hard to adjust - with or without the software - and no use for precise image adjusting.
If this is an example of the 'new standard' for the VP range, then Viewsonic have lost what was an excellent range of monitors for anyone working with images & design where colour and clarity is important.
The older versions were more expensive, but they were definitely worth it!
