5.0 out of 5 stars Hank the Cowboy, 13 Jun 2009
By Paul S. Power "Liverpool Lou" (California) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: TV Comic Annual 1955 (Hardcover)
I have strong memories of watching & drawing Francis Coudrill's Puppet & cartoon art show on the BBC's children's show Hank the Cowboy or Hank Rides again. It's where I started drawing at the age of 4. All of this TV Comic annual contents were fun & rekindled very fond memories of being a little kid in a big eastenders family.
Well my point is after all these years the artwork & simple kids stories all hold up. I'm still drawing to this day on films in Hollywood.
These TV Comics were fun & it's not a wonder that I still marvel at the artwork of Francis Coudrill & Tony Hart. It's no wonder that Walt Disney wanted to hire Mister Coudrill & make cartoons of HANK. It's too bad The late Mister Coudrill didn't make the deal. Muffin The Mule & Sooty were great kids fare on TV & this book was & is still fun.
