Childrens Roman Centurion fancy dress costume in the form of a brown, foam backed leatherette body armour kit which fits over the top of a white robe and has a red cape attached at the shoulders. The armour has a gold trim and shows the six pack of the centurion. Coordinating with this body armour are brown studded leatherette leg straps with matching wrist, arm and neck bands.

I got this costume for my son's Roman day at school. It comes with lots of bits and pieces so you get alot for your money. The cape is attached to the leather tunic/skirt, and there are 3 pairs of leather straps for wrist, arms and shins, plus a neck choker. There is no sword or shield, but these are easy to buy if you want to add these to the whole look. We bought a helmet as an extra item which is not included in the pack here just to complete the look. All in all a great outfit, very durable and lots of detail. Highly recommended. Also as to sizing, my son is an average height, slim 8 year old, and this was a good fit.

As with other parents, I bought this for my son's 'Roman Day' at school. Although described as a 'Gladiator' costume the packet it comes in says 'Centurion' costume. So, you could use it for either and I don't think anyone would be any the wiser.
It's a reasonable price for what you get: white, plain undergarment; leather-like armour that ties at the back at the waist and has a red cloak attached at the shoulders; neck, arm, wrist and leg pieces with good detailing and studs to complete the effect.
Once you provide your child with this costume and a suitable sword they should be well into the role by the time they get to school.
