There are so many compilations out there like the air guitars, driving rock power ballads etc, but this one has the right mix of everything. Bands like Whitesnake and The Quireboys sit alongside punks Killing Joke and The Ramones, who sit alongside Huey Lewis and Kim Wilde. Tunes to look out for are The Power Station's "Some Like It Hot", The Knack's "My Sharona" and Feelgood's Milk & Alcohol, absolutely brilliant, best tenner i've spent in ages.

I bought this from Amazon originally for no other reason than to make up a package, am I glad I did. So many good tracks on just 3 discs. Outstanding rock classics down through punk, poodle rockers,girl rockers even to a great cover of Jackie de Shannons song 'When you walk in the room' by Paul Carrack. I would rate this as a 99.9er, the .001 is for the Meatloaf track...great guy..his songs make me shudder..but I'm glad it's in my collection and it's one that will be played often.

Don't get me wrong. I love this album even if some of the tracks are 'getting on a bit'. It's amazing how music and memory is linked and many of these tracks are redolent of good times in the past. Especially Pat Benatar (wwrroowll!).
