This CD has collections from the golden age of tango (30's & 40's).
Significant orchestras of the era are chosen for this CD. The selection is very good and not so much repeated among other CDs. Actually some songs are really unique recordings and you can hardly find them anywhere else in another CD (from the same orchestras).
Thanks to quality digital remastering the sound fidelity is also as good as one could expect from the years of recording. This is one of my favourite CDs of nowadays so I would give it 5 stars.
I would also recommend the other collection CD "great bands of tango's golden age" from the same producer.
