The book is a close, narrative examination of the legislation defining the rights and responsibilities of anyone whose business is the carriage of merchandise and passengers by road. It includes the Road Transport Acts from 1933 up to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Bill 1998; the complexities of the implementing regulations; and many pieces of European legislation.
