I was a pupil of this truly magnificent man. Unfortunately I only spent two years with him, from the age of 12. However, what I learnt in those two years is still with me now at the age of 50. What I don't remember of Mr.Lasserson has been brought back to me in these wonderful memories and tributes submitted by some of his other disciples. It is a great read for any Violinist, anywhere. Full marks to Michael Lasserson for compiling this marvellous book. It has made me rethink my approach to playing and my apreciation of the teaching I received during those short years. It also made me aware that I had been in the presence of a genius. Sascha lives on in all our hearts, minds and playing.
