I have all Kate Shirazi's books, and love every single one. Baking Magic is all her books bar some of Chocolate Magic in one, which is extremely handy.

All Kate's recipe's are easy to follow, and the results are great (all my friends and family say they are delicious) - I've baked a fair few of the recipe's and I've had no disasters so far. Try the Mocha Cupcakes - soo yummy!

I would say this is better than some of the other baking books on the market at the moment. I highly recommend this book to people who are just starting out in baking to those who have been baking a while as it has something for everyone.

My full review of this book can be found on my cookbook blog, Culinaria Libris, but I wanted to share a few thoughts here as well. The best part of this book is that the recipes are reliable and written for both metric and imperial, which means bakers on both sides of The Pond can use this book with ease.

The ingenuity of the recipes is also impressive. There's no shortage of inspiration in this book.

Finally, this is the first cookbook I have seen with recipes for some of my favourite store-bought British biscuits - digestives, custard creams and bourbons. I can finally make these at home from scratch. Now that's what I call magical.

This is just a reprint of her original two books cookie magic and cupcake magic combined with Susannah Blakes muffin magic. There are no more than a handful of new recipes in it and that really doesn't make it worth buying this if you already own the other three books.
This book will be going into the gift pile at the next school fete...sometimes online shopping doesn't save you anything because you can't have a proper look inside the book before purchase...If I had picked this up in a shop I would have put it back on the shelf!
Another classic case of the authors and publishers milking a bit more money out of the same old books.....COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW PLEASE!!!!

Haven't had time to make many of the recipes. It's a good book but some of the recipes are simply adaptions of a basic recipe.The biscuits look good though.
