Few images when genetics is such a picturewilde subject!

And in black and white?

The first half of the book was fine, but the second half really required some images to assist in the explanation given in the text. Without them, the text made very dry reading.

Havin g moved on from introductory books, I've found that skipping such books would have been fine and that standard textbooks give more than an adequate, simple explanation, generally with nice colour imagary to assist in the learning experiance - making it fun, too.

In defence of the author - it is well written but the limit on this series of books seems to be to few pictures and black and white.
