I bought this book after my grandson became lactose intolerant following pneumonia. It helped my daughted no end whilst adapting to her sons new diet, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone going through the same difficulties.

This little book of healthy Dairy free recipes gives useful information about alternatives for dairy products as well as about 30 tasty recipes from all around the world, with and without meat, whether or not they include gluten too.
The book shows large colour photos of savoury recipes but no suggestion for desserts nor puddings.A great pity !

I would expect any book with the title 'Dairy Free' to be vegan, but this cookbook is stuffed full of meat and fish recipies. As the author clearly outlines the basic premise that dairy products are unhealthy it seems very odd to then offer meat and fish as being OK. All animal products (as eaten in the modern 'Western diet') are clearly linked with 'the diseases of affluence' (ie heart disease, bowel cancer etc). Anybody who identifies only dairy products as 'bad' presents a very confused argument.
