Kudos to Professor Peterson 17 Dec. 2012
By SciFiFan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This journal represents Dan Peterson and friends' effort to resurrect the sadly defunct mission of FARMS, which in its heyday was the premier instrument of Mormon Apologetics, and a great venue for lay-person accessible mormon scholarship. This is a good start but has a ways to go to match JBMS at its best. Nevertheless, these initial articles are well-written and interesting. I lood forward to more to come.

For a first edition, this gem is all I expected from the editor Daniel Peterson and the authors. Each article is timely, well researched, and academic, yet intellectually accessible for all. Bright future ahead for the Interpreter. Great job.....and thanks.

Bring 'em On! 2 Nov. 2012
By Marcus Aurelius - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I had been downloading each essay as it appeared but when I found out that they would be published in a regular magazine format, I definitely wanted to try it. I much prefer the printed format; so now I read the articles online but intend to subscribe to the "Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Scripture" because it is so much easier to acquire and keep the printed word! Thanks, Amazon, for trying out this 'new kid on the block'.

Increasing knowledge of the scriptures. 12 Jan. 2015
By Danny Murphy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I have each volume in this series. So far I have only read the first two volumes. I believe that these writings are helping me to better understand the book of Mormon. I do not advocate not reading the Holy Scriptures, but by reading others interpretations, along with our own studies, I believe, will give us more knowledge as to the meaning and intent of the scriptures.
