This book is very logical, concise, simple and tackles key concepts in genetics to level that is required for a medical student. It introduces the subject well, but doesn't go into the details on the concepts, which is fair as it is aimed at medical students, who don't need to know the detailed genetics underlying clinical conditions. Diagrams are excellent, we want more of them as they summarise the text. I particularly like the lists or tables. Overall medical genetics at a glance is concise, to the point and reasonably priced. I reccomend it to anyone studying medicine or biomedical sciences.

This is a good book covering all the basics. The explanations are short and really clear. It does lack some of the more detailed clinical information, but has enough to give you a good idea of what's going on. There are some excellent bits on different genetic tests and scientific basis of genetics. All in all, this book will get you through the exams!!!

I used this book at at three stages in my medical education - in the first year of the course when you are studying basic science. During the speciality modules of paediatrics and obs+gyne when you are studying diseases that have a genetic component and also for finals revision. Good book on the topic has all the info you need.
