Review

You'll be hooked (Bliss)

A really gripping book. Amazing (Kiss)

This thrilling story of intrigue is like St Trinian's tinged with a murderous streak (Closer)

Full of unexpected twists, Night School is mysterious, creepy, and sexy - a tense thriller with a great romance. I was hooked from the first page. (L. A. Weatherly, author of the bestselling ANGEL series)

As ever, Daugherty's storytelling brims with gusto. Another enjoyable, thrill-packed term [at Cimmeria] (Suzi Feay The Financial Times)

Hints of tantalizing plot twists to come will have readers panting for the next installment. (Kirkus)

All tremendous fun (Financial Times Life & Arts)

Format: Paperback
Following Jo's murder, Allie is frustrated that no one is doing anything to find Gabe and Nathaniel. Life seems to go on as normal at Cimmeria Academy and she just can't stand it. She devises a plan to escape and get justice for Jo. But how far will she get in the real world and is it safe beyond the gates?

Another page turning read in the Night School series. I don't want to give too much away but Allie's escape made me chuckle at the stark reality she faces. There's no magic fixes in this world. It also sheds some more like on how deep the organisation behind Night School goes. As the story progresses, there is a real feeling of powerlessness against an entire world that is outside of their control.

Allie is a bit conflicted about her feelings for Carter and Sylvain. I loved Rachel's explanation of friendship love and romantic love as well as the way it deals with the awkwardness of break-ups. The sort of break-ups that are more normal for teenagers that is. It was also nice to have one of Allie's old friends back briefly, even if it just highlighted how far she's come.

I've really been enjoying this series this month, so it's bittersweet that I now have to wait for more. I'd definitely recommend to those who want a break from the paranormal but still want a good dose of intrigue and action.

I have been a big fan of the series and I have waited a long time so get it . when I got it I was not disappointed . I was surprised how short it was but it was packed with action

Allie is angry at cimmeria for doing nothing about joes death and starts behaving as she did when Christopher went missing . she is told by Lucinda to get her act together and join night school again or she will be cut off . Allie does this and is more surprised then ever when she finds out some of the truth . I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read book 1 and 2 in this series last year and really enjoyed them, I have been looking out for book 3 since and finally a copy came in at the library for me.

I couldn't remember exactly what had happened in the previous books but odd bits stuck in my memory and I hoped that when I started reading this one that things would come back to me, and thankfully it did. Quite quickly actually.

Once again we are at Cimmeria with Allie, but things are not as they used to be. After seeing her best friend be killed on school grounds Allie is finding it hard to cope, and when no one seems to be doing anything to find those responsible she starts to break down a little bit. But with a traitor in their midst she doesn't know who she can trust.

I like the fact that these books look and feel magical, but they are actually just a 'normal' school (well in most aspects) there is no paranormal storyline or hidden magic. Just people, but they manage to create their own world and it's exciting. I almost expect something unusual to spring out, maybe a werewolf or something, but it doesn't and when the bad guys do pop out, they are just as menacing and threatening.

I started this book this morning and had finished by just after lunch, it is so easy to read and so captivating that I didn't want to put it down. The pages just flew by and I was swept up with the storyline.

I like Allie, she is feisty and willing to fight for those she loves, she has great sarcastic humour but can also show a vulnerable side. I really felt for her in places and wanted to see her come through.

The other characters are also really well written and I feel like I know most of them, could happily go and talk to them in the common room.

I have given this book 5 stars because if I didn't I would never forgive myself. I have been waiting impatiently for this book for 3 months and when it finally came out I just sat down and read. After two hours I have finished it and it is brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. If you are thinking that you will find out the answers to the lingering questions from the previous books you are wrong. I am already wishing that the final book is available. My fimal sentence is: OH MY GOD THIS BOOK IS EPIC!!!!!!!

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! I loved Night School, the first part of this series, but Fracture simply took my breath away. Every chapter ends with a cliffhanger so it's impossible to put the book down after you start reading it. It's fast paced, full of twists and turns, and goes way deeper into the characters lives than the previous parts.

Allie is still debating whether her heart belongs to Carter or to Sylvain (FYI I'm so in team Sylvain!), sure Allie is being really childish at parts (especially when she's trying to figure out her love life) but since we're all different I'll just ignore it, the plot is thickening and in the end no one can be sure who the enemy is.

Definitely worth reading if you love a bit different YA stories.
