I bought this book unaware that these free resources were almost exclusively internet related. I might have been upset, but it has opened my eyes to the incredibly extensive resources that are available for free out there on the web.

The book is broken up into various chapters relating to different areas of education.

It appears to be written by Christians, but not exclusively for Christians. This book is for anyone who desires to homeschool their children on a budget. In these economically trying times, a book like this is most welcome.

There are a few resources I feel I would rather purchase, like Teach Your Child to Read but the bulk of what I want can be found on the net. It's exciting to think that I can sit down with my 5 year old and start homeschooling immediately. We have used simple online resources to teach the alphabet which the children love, but it never occurred to us that we could use the web almost exclusively in this way.

I have been browsing through the book and I'm excited about what I can learn out there on the WWW. I was looking at giant stars last night on an interactive website that compares these heavenly bodies to our earth and our sun. Truly awe-inspiring and educational.
