It's not just here, there have been no copies in the high street and there were none available on release day in central london.....

By the sound of it there has been hardly any stock allocated anywhere, either they didn't expect it to sell or something went a bit pete tong on the stock front, there will probably be loads out once xmas is out of the way

Would explain why Amazon sent a copy, never arrived, sent a replacement, got an email sent had to be returned due to damage. Still waiting for a copy, had to go and buy one from GraingerGames. Last one they had in stock so think you're all right, probably a stock issue.

I ordered a copy with amazon when it was out of stock, but today they emailed me saying it was back in stock, yet looked at there site and its sold out again! my dispatch day is for tommorow or friday now instead of after christmas as it was before, so fingers crossed it went through, if its not dispatched by friday i may start looking elsewhere

It's not the stock that seems to be the issue, it's actually receiving it. I had a copy sent Friday, 1 sent Monday, neither have arrived and I had an email stating I was being refunded because it was undeliverable (i.e. damaged). A big, big shame we don't get the metal case, with it being ME2 and 3 that you could buy for £20 for the both of them, it makes you wonder if it isn't better value to do that and just pay £12 on PSN and download it.
I'm a collector and so always want the boxed copies, however this literally is a PS3 box with an identical-to-360-minus-Microsoft logo sleeve.

If you want to actually play the original Mass Effect, just download it. Honestly, everywhere seems out of stock. Must be more demand for it than BW expected... or Sony and themselves just want you to do the digital download. Which is somehow cheaper... That's right, PSN actually has a game cheaper than if you bought it from a shop :)

What's up with the price on this at the moment? It was £30 odd pounds just the other day. Play still lists it as £39?

My copy eventually turned up, already bought another so will keep this sealed and who knows, may end up a rarity.
