No, you manually tune it using the circular dial on the front - just like you would in the 1950s.

Bought for a birthday present , for memory do not believe it had pre set stations

No it does not have preset stations but easy and quick to find that nearest station through the dial on the front of the radio. I bought it for the looks and background music while having breakfast. I have other devices for high quality sound.

Does not have preset stations but as J Hagon has already said " tune it with the circular dial". I have no problem finding the stations I listen to (no different to the one I had in the 1950s).

No, it's an old fashioned dial tuner. Excellent sound for a non digital radio. I've no issues with it whatsoever.
