Product Description

Product Description

Mike is a man in a spin. Downwards. His life is a car crash that seems to keep on happening. He skirts the edges of crime but never gets a break.
Jonah has a major drug dependancy that carries with it the associated risks. And debt. When his debts become too much he is given an ultimatum, a job. A once in a lifetime opportunity. An offer he can't refuse. To do so is suicide.
Staines is a vicious criminal of the Glasgow underworld. When a major opportunity presents itself he needs front men, or victims, to place in the firing line.
Joanne is a mother who has seen death. Her children dying in front of her. Her mind shattered, her world destroyed, she struggles to escape the clutches of her tormentor.
Different people. Different lives. However lives that collide together in an explosion of chance and misfortune leading to a devastating climax.
Not all of them would make it.

About the Author

Shaun Morris was born in 1969 in Stoke on Trent. Over the years he's made a living in many a guise. Hotel porter. Gardner. Car valet. Soldier. Salesman. Door knocker. Builder. Chancer. Schemer. Dreamer. The list goes on and on. His private life has been equally without definite form or easily identifiable description. He's been locked in cells, reassured friends within prison visiting areas, felt the dull sensation of handcuffs around his wrists, walked free from courtrooms. Knelt within churches in the Holy Land, walked the West Bank with Palestinian Guerrilla's, carried firearms, prayed with priests, drank and enjoyed friendships with professional criminals, meditated with Buddhist monks. All his experiences, some legal, others rather less so. Some enlightening, others dangerous. Some spiritual, others of the street, he believes have enriched him. He now lives in Glasgow and is the father of a son and daughter.

I enjoyed this novel, tho a little predictable towards the end. I considered giving this 5 stars but the grammatical errors were just too great. Like any dutiful Kindle reader I flagged them up as corrections but in the end they just became too frequent and interrupted the flow of the story, as I tried to decipher what was going on.

Unfortunate, as its obviously not the authors fault.

4.0 out of 5 stars A really good read 17 April 2013

Great plot with excellent characters. The descriptions of feelings of the main characters are excellently described as is the means by which the psychopathic villain dominates others. Yes I did correctly guess what was going to happen at the end, but it didn't matter. I still wanted to see how it unraveled. Really good novel which works on many levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!! Loved it. 19 May 2013

I really couldn't wait to start reading this book and did so in 2 days. Really enjoyed it and I hope that the author writes another soon. Would make a good TV drama mini series and I already know who I would cast as the two main villains. Good story, believable although the grammatical errors got a bit tedious in the end. I am happy to proof read for Amazon if they should need my services.

Buy this book, I really enjoyed it! Gripping!!
