Product Description

d-c-fix® self-adhesive decorative films are versatile and very easy to use.

Providing both design and function, d-c fix® films can be used for a huge range of applications which every household could benefit from, whether it be for up cycling old furniture, making over an out-dated kitchen, covering school books or providing privacy and decor to windows.

How To Apply:

All you need for application is a clean, flat, dry surface, scissors, pencil, ruler, cloth or smoother.

Step 1: Using the handy grid on the backing paper, cut the film to size leaving a 4mm margin around the edge to be trimmed at the end.

Step 2: Peel away the backing paper little by little smoothing down into place with your cloth or smoother as you go. If you make a mistake it's not a problem as the water based adhesive means the film can be peeled back and re-applied.

Full adhesion occurs after 7 days. Air bubbles can be removed easily by smoothing out to the edge or by pricking with a pin and smoothing out.

(Tip! Use our application kit for a perfect finish).

d-c fix® high quality self-adhesive films outperform the rest in terms of adhesion, covering power, dirt/heat resistance, light resistance and shrinkage so whatever you decide to cover, you'll be pleased with the results.

d-c-fix® offers a huge range of designs from plains to marbles, woodgrains, polka dots, florals, animal skins and specialist window designs. If and when you decide it's time for a change, simply remove the film and clean away any residue with warm soapy water.

I bought this window film for my glass door and I must say it has a lovely frosted pattern. You can't really notice it on the image posted here but the design shows a frosted image of tree leaves and birds.

The paper on which the film is stuck to has grids and measurements - which means that you can easily get your measurements right whilst allowing you to cut in a straight line - something that helped me hugely as I do have clumsy fingers!

Before I began I made sure that the glass surface was thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying the window film.

Once I got the film cut to size (and it is so easy), I began by peeling back a little of the paper and with a second pair of hands (highly recommended if covering a large surface) I stuck the film to the top of the glass door, making sure that the film tucked neatly into the edges. Any surplus film can easily be trimmed, though it shouldn't be too hard to get the measurements right the first time.

Once I was happy with this, I slowly began to peel the rest of the paper whilst smoothing the film as I went along - this was to prevent bubbles from forming. In my case, bubbles did form but I just slowly took off the film where the bubble had formed and re-did that part again.

It is important not to rush the job as you could be left with lots of tiny bubbles and once stuck for long, you may find the film more difficult to peel off.

The window film has a light and airy look to it - so that it keeps the room looking light whilst allowing the sun to still shine through.

At night, the image is even more stunning because the frosted design stands out against the dark back-drop of the night.

All in all, the window film is relatively easy to apply and the design is fantastic to look at. My mom is constantly admiring it!

Highly recommended product.

I had two problems No. 1 my front door faces my bathroom door (bungalow).
No. 2 the glass in the door is already frosted I believe its called flemish, but it is not really obscure.

I did E.mail the company and got a reply to say this product is made for smooth glass.

I decided to take a chance - for the price- after all a new glass door panel and two large glass side panels was going to cost a fortune.

Well I can say this product has done a stirling job. It was so easy to fit took all of twenty minutes from measuring to smoothing into place. I used a large piece of rigid thin plastic wrapped in a cotton tea towel, easy peasy.

The end result is beautiful, lets the light in keeps eyes out and I'm no longer worried about the bathroom door being left open.

This pattern also has pictures of birds sitting on the branches, for me an added effect, but not seen initially on the web site picture.

I have just ordered another to finish the job as this roll only did two panes of glass, but for just over £20. I can't argue at that. Well pleased.

Goes onto the windows really well, with a nice subtle pattern. Not very opaque but still gives the privacy required.Easy to cut and apply.

my flat unfortunatly faces a similar block directly on the other side of the road which means we can both see into each others living room and front bedroom. it seemed that the tenants thought i was looking into their living room where someone is ill and has carers in all day and night. i refused to keep my blinds closed all day and night and searched for something online and came across this. a peice strategicly placed on my window means i can go about my flat without feeling like a peeping tom anymore. its been an absolute godsend.

This product is great. We have two little windows at the top of our front door that allowed people to see in and up the stairs - the windows are far too small to install blinds or curtains, so we opted for this instead. It has done the job perfectly; you can't see in or out even a little bit and we feel much less exposed now. It looks stylish too! I didn't realise there was going to be birds on it as well as flowers, so on one window we have flowers and on the other we have a little bird perched on a branch.

It was easy to apply, too - just cut and stick!

Great product, easy to install and effective. The design has a bird on it so when installing you need to watch the orientation....

I bought this product to creat more privacy in the rooms. Not only it gives enough privacy, it also looks great. The frosty flowers design looks really nice, especially when the sun shines through. It was also easy to apply. Highly recommended.

A great product, easy to aply and really effective.
We are converting a small bedroom into an on-suite bathroom and didn't want the expense of replacing the window, I took the glass panes out so the film would cover all of the glass and be held on by the side strips.
It was easy to apply and looks really good, from inside and out.
