Highly recommended. I have travelled and worked in some extremely hot places and these frio bags have liberated me.
They can be simply "recharged" by soaking for a short time in water, and the gel crystals inside soak and swell up. As the water evaporates this keeps the insulin within cool. Bear in mind that as the bags rely on evaporation to work they must be kept in the open air (and not in a closed confined space like a zipped up bag). Need soaking again in water every few days as the water evaporates. Kept my inslin cool during a month long cycle tour of Italy in August with no problems. I could have never embarked on a trip like that before....

I bought this after reading several reviews online. It seems like opinions of this product were mixed. From the little i've used this product so far i can say that it does cool the items placed inside it but only by a few degrees at best (i'd say around 5 degrees max from my experience - I've mainly used it during July so the ambient temperature is pretty high anyway). During the British summer this isn't usually a problem and it does a satisfactory job but i suspect if you take it away to warmer climes it may not keep your insulin cold enough. Insulin can "go bad" when exposed to too much heat so i'd suggest trailling this product yourself before trusting your insulin to it in a foreign country.

The wallett worked quite well, it was useful to have to prevent the insulin overheating when in Ibiza with temperatures about 30 degrees C. I think its performance was pretty much as I expected from reviews read and I found it easy to use.
