More About the Author

Anat Umansky, was born in 1962,Tel Aviv, Israel.
She is a professional writer and a very popular children's author in Israel. During the last 20 years, she has published over 100 children's books titles (hard cover-in Hebrew) and sold thousands of copies of her children's books, on many subjects, that touch different aspects of children's lives.

Anat loves to teach kids basic skills, through stories. She believes that a good story is the best way to communicate with children.

Anat likes to write children's stories about emotions. Her stories are motivate kids, inspire them and make them think. For years, Anat had been watching how her young readers and the kids who listened to her stories developed, grew, matured, learned to deal with emotions, solved problems and overcame obstacles.

She does it by using fascinating stories, adventures, and wisdom of life. She never forgets to use humor, hope and faith. Anat really believes that these three notions are the fundamental building blocks for helping to make healthy, happy and strong kids, both in body and soul. That's how Anat's stories turned to be classic children's books.

And yes, Anat always takes into consideration the adult, who shares the stories with the kids, either by choosing the book, by reading the stories,or just by being there watching the child. Dear adults, read Anat's stories carefully, as there will always be a message for you too.

Nowdays, Anat's best stories are brought to English readers with great love. Hopefully, you will like and enjoy them too!

Anat Umansky is always happy to get your reviews, answer your questions or simply talk to you.

Format: Kindle Edition
The author, Anat Umansky, has given parents the answer to the age old question, "How do babies come into this world?" This book is well written with children's ages taken into account.

Lior and Orly are two children who are playing, and one day they were talking to each other and the question of babies and where they came from came up. Each of the had heard the stories of the stork bringing babies, and comng from the cabbage patch. Both seemed a little silly to them. They thought about asking their parents or grandparents, but neither set was at home. Then, they decided to look at a book to explain where babies come from.

The book discusses fishes, ducklings, kittens and then humans. A very well told and simple explanation. All of it makes sense, and for most children this will satisfy their curiosity. If they have more questions, then each parent can decide just how much information to discuss.

The author is well versed on children's needs and how they question. The writing is precise and captures each word precisely. The illustrations by Evygeni Lagutin are colorful and capture the writing with beautiful illustrations. They are also specific to each question. This is a book that belongs in every home. Note: I was given this book to read and review.
