5.0 out of 5 stars Look no further if you want advice on e-products, 20 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: e-cash: Put Your Money Where Your Mouse is (Financial Times Series) (Paperback)
This book was bought as a present for me, and held my attention from the minute I opened it. I don't usually buy books like this, as I thought I knew quite alot about this subject. The author's style is clear and interesting to read, and she has obviously thoroughly researched the subject. As a test I followed some of her advice, and was very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this to my friends, experts or beginners in the field of e-cash.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book about cash on the net I have read yet!, 13 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: e-cash: Put Your Money Where Your Mouse is (Financial Times Series) (Paperback)
I am a complete beginner when it comes to understanding finance on the net, so I really needed a book that would give me easy to follow, impartial advice about a whole range of subjects. What I liked so much about e-cash is its clear layout and straightforward advice.

Because the author isn't connected to any financial institutions, I knew I would get impartial advice about products and services available on the net, and could do this from the comfort of my own PC!

I love the style of the author. She writes in a way that is really easy to follow and understand, and explains herself clearly. Reading this book you don't feel you are being patronised for not understanding financial matters, an important point for a beginner like me.

Overall I think this is the best [money] I spent this year. Thoroughly recommended, and I can't wait for her next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple to read, understand and use!!, 5 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: e-cash: Put Your Money Where Your Mouse is (Financial Times Series) (Paperback)
E-cash is the first finance-based book I have read that considers the reader as an human being and explains the terminology in a simple to read and easy to understand manner. It's not every day you come across a finance book that you don't want to put down!!

The author is clearly an expert and knows her subject inside out. Clear examples have been given wherever they are appropriate, including some very funny personal experiences - an unexpected but appealing find in a book of this nature!!

The chapters flow in a logical manner yet can still be read independently without causing confusion. Some chapters will appeal to some people more than others. It all depends on their experience with computers and the internet, or to what extent they want to use the internet for personal finance.

Some examples of the personal finance subjects covered in E-cash are: finding a suitable bank account; getting a mortgage; buying, selling and monitoring shares and other investments - and this is just a sample.

Basically, if you want to use the internet for personal finance either as a novice or as a more experienced user, this book will definitely help you get what you want.

Go and buy it now - you won't regret it!!!
