A title that I’ve been meaning to get round to for quite some time as I’ve been enjoying the tale around the Ratkin and how they almost brought the empire down with the plague. As with Clint’s other work, he knows how to get to the meat of the matter, carefully blending high octane action with political double dealing keeping both in equal measure so that one doesn’t overpower the other.

It’s a tricky balance to maintain and when added to solid prose and a pace that really keeps you glued, all round allows the reader to have a cracking story well told. Great stuff.

At first i thought this book, like many Warhammer books involving skaven, would be far too predictable, with the skaven being routed at the last minute for no apparent reason. In fact it explains skaven defeats quite convincingly as caused by treachery and political rivalry among skaven leaders. And there are a few other twists to the plot which took me by surprise.

Wolf of Sigmar a good ending! 18 Feb. 2014
By Richard Petsch - Published on
Format: Paperback
It is a good story. The ending is full of twists. But it does have an ending. Lots of action and even more bad guys. The Hammer of Sigmar plays a strong role in this story. I enjoyed it a lot. It just needed more than it had. C.L. Werner is a good author. He needs to put more into each of his stories. Action, adventure and more depth to what it is about. The Hammer of Sigmar could have had a much bigger role. The story is a winner with me.
Its a great read with full of twist and surprises 30 Jun. 2015

The final part of the Black Plague Trilogy. Its a great read with full of twist and surprises. The only thing that I didn't like is the final confrontation of one of the main villain, Adolf. It was bland, probably because of the setting of the fight in the epilogue. Other than that this book is a must read.
