May the dead bodies abound. (Harley Jane Kozak)

A delightful heroine who would be right at home in a Jane Austen novel. (Linda Palmer)

Vicky Hill, daughter of criminal parents now living on the Costa del Crime, is a young reporter on a local newspaper. Haing snatched glory from defeat in the first novel, more by luck than judgement, she does the same in this one. Her female colleague and generally unpleasant rival tries to outdo her with a scoop, but once again fortune favours our heroine. Having already purchased the next Vicky Hill novel, I am hoping for a variation on the way the story proceeds and pans out. But for the price, a pleasant enough read. Ideal train journey entertainment.

I absolutely loved this. Vicky is a great heroine and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. There is plenty of humour as well as a good mystery. Until now, Agatha Raisin has been my favourite 'detective' heroine, but Vicky Hill may just have pipped her! I can't wait to read the other two books in the series.

Another hilarious romp through the country side village of Gipping. With Vicky Hill desperately trying to find a man to love while missing clues to the latest mystery. Good fun

I found this a funny and yet interesting detective story. The character of Vicky Hill is very attractive and I would certainly read more of this authoress.
