I bought this book for some family research as I had ancestors who worked there. I found it quite fascinating to read the story of the pottery from its inception to its demise. But not only that it covers in great detail the wares produced, often with colour plates and diagrams of pottery marks. A must for anyone interested in not only a forgotten part of Liverpool's history but alos Staffordshires.

A well-illustrated account of the history of Herculaneum pottery which goes in tandem with some history of Liverpool. A very interesting read.
