Well the HR1871 has an 800 watt motor compared to 700 watt. It juices 2.5 litres in one go compared to 1.5. I don't know what the left over pulp is like when using the HR1861 but with the HR1871 there is no waste. It really is easy to clean. The recipe book you get is good as well. When I bought it, it was £145. There might not be much more difference. But what ever one you choose. Fill out paperwork you get with it for the warranty. Hope you get a good deal.

I wouldn't recommend a Philips juicer at all but the XXL tube means there is less preparation as you can put whole apples etc down there without having to cut them up
